Here’s a super simple dipping sauce that goes great with artichokes. I’m going to keep this on on the mild side, but if you like the heat, bump up the number of chipotle peppers.
There’s many different brands of canned chipotle peppers, just be sure to get the ones that are in adobe sauce. We will be adding some of that yummy sauce to the recipe.
These bad boys are pretty hot on their own, but trust me, the mayo really cools them off. Be sure not to touch your eyes after cutting the peppers! I’ve done this more times than I can count. I try to wash my hands anytime I am in direct contact with spicy peppers.
And there you have it. This dip really packs the flavor and is one of my favorite’s for artichoke. I call dibs on the heart!
- 2 chipotle peppers
- 2 tablespoons of adobe sauce
- 1 cup mayo
- ½ teaspoon of white vinegar
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- Grab the chipotle peppers in adobe sauce and finely chop them. In a small bowl, add all the ingredients and mix to combine. Thats it!
When buying the chipotle peppers, be sure to get the can that has the peppers in adobe sauce.
