Spicy Mayo is a rich & creamy condiment that goes great on sushi rolls.
You can find siracha hot chile sauce at your local grocery store. If you have an Asian market in your area, you might be able to find the Kewpie Mayonnaise. Although I checked several in my area with no luck. I ended up ordering this from Amazon. Here is a referral link if you need: Kewpie Mayonnaise from Amazon->
Kewpie Mayonnaise, or Japanese Mayonnaise, is the undisputed king of mayonnaise. First made in Japan in 1925 and sold in glass jars this mayo is yellower, richer and more creamy than the standard American or European mayonnaise. Made with rice vinegar, instead of distilled vinegar makes it especially complimentary to Japanese cuisine.
You can use regular mayonnaise if you are in a pinch, but the kewpie mayonnaise really makes this Spicy Mayo stand out.
- 2 tablespoon Japanese Kewpie mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoon sriracha hot chili sauce
- Combine both ingredients and mix well.
